Vanilla Black launches vegetarian and vegan cookery courses, for professional and amateur cooks
Donna and I are incredibly excited to take the next step in the Vanilla Black journey, with our Cook & Learn concept. We have always been at the forefront of creative vegetarian and vegan cuisine. Now, having the opportunity to wax lyrical directly to budding chefs about the virtues of great ingredients and innovative techniques feels particularly special. We’ve been at the heart of the industry for a long time – more years than I’d care to admit – so it’s certainly fair to say we know our way around a Pak Choi! We cannot wait to welcome our first keen Learners to Somerset and get cooking.

What?
The day courses are ideal both for professional chefs wishing to expand their vegetarian and vegan repertoire, or for aspirational home cooks looking to take their cookery to the next level guided by Andrew and his decades of experience, both in the restaurant and his former role as a chef lecturer.
When?
The first confirmed dates are 18th & 24th June 2021 and entitled ‘1970’s Revisited’. They promise to re-work some 70’s classic dishes; turning them upside down to create stunning modern vegan dishes with a heavy hint of nostalgia.
Where?
Up to 8 participants shall spend the day in a gorgeous, solar powered, converted 18th century barn at Lapwing Farm, Somerset and shall be creating 4 full dishes in a fully hands-on, personalised teaching environment.
